How to Exchange Ethereum (ETH) for Rubles: Network Fees, Timing, Steps

You can sell ETH for rubles without an exchange account: you send ether to the address from your order, and rubles go to your card after the network confirms. The main thing to watch is the Ethereum network fee: it does not depend on the amount, so small exchanges make little sense.
Below are the steps, the fees and the mistakes that cost money.
How to sell ETH at Ruber: five steps
- Calculation. In the calculator choose ETH and rubles and enter the amount. The rate and amount you receive are shown at once.
- Where to receive rubles. To a card in your name. The form shows the exact payout methods after you choose the direction.
- Identity check. Mandatory for everyone: passport, proof of address, selfie.
- Sending ETH. To the address from the order, within 30 minutes. Withdrawing from an exchange? Tick “delayed payout”: an exchange may hold a withdrawal for more than half an hour.
- Receiving rubles. After 12 confirmations on Ethereum, the rubles are sent to your card.
If an order is cancelled or rejected, the coins are returned in full — minus the network fee for sending them back.
Gas: what it costs to send ETH
The Ethereum network fee is called gas. It depends on network load, not on the amount: sending 0.05 ETH and 5 ETH costs about the same.
- Small exchanges make little sense. If the amount is comparable to a few fees, you give away a noticeable share just for the transfer.
- Time of day matters. Network load changes during the day. If it is not urgent, check the gas price before sending.
- Leave a buffer. Gas is paid in ETH from the same wallet. You cannot send the entire balance — nothing would be left for the fee.

ETH or USDT: what to exchange
| ETH | USDT on TRC-20 | |
|---|---|---|
| Network fee | Changes during the day, paid in ETH | Lower, paid in TRX |
| Rate to the ruble | Moves with the market | Pegged to the dollar |
| When to exchange | You held ether as an investment and decided to sell | You need to move or keep an amount |
If you hold ether as an investment, sell the ether itself. An extra conversion to USDT adds one more fee.
Mistakes that cost money
Ethereum and BNB Chain look the same
Addresses on both networks start with 0x. A transfer on the wrong network can be lost. Choose the network explicitly.
A token instead of ether
USDT and USDC on ERC-20 travel on the same network as ETH, but they are different assets. An ETH exchange order accepts ether only.
A transfer from a smart contract
We do not accept payments from smart contracts and do not send coins to such addresses. Send from a regular wallet or an exchange.
An address from private messages
The transfer address is only in your order. Whoever messages you first with a “great rate” is not a service employee.
Frequently asked questions
Can I receive rubles to someone else’s card?
No. The card must be in your name — a payout to someone else’s card will not go through.
How much time do I have to send?
30 minutes for the transfer to reach the network. After that the system waits for confirmations.
What if the rate changes while I send?
The rate is fixed when you confirm the order and holds while you meet the deadline. If the transfer is confirmed very late, we send an offer with a recalculated rate — you decide whether to accept it.
Does my bank charge a fee for crediting?
Sometimes, yes. We send exactly the amount in the order, but your bank may keep its own fee. We do not receive it and do not include it in the calculation.
You can calculate an exchange in the calculator: the rate and amount are shown before you confirm.
