Solana, TON and BNB Chain: Which Network to Use When Buying USDT for Rubles

Solana, TON and BNB Chain are three fast networks with low fees. USDT lives on each of them, and for moving dollars this is often more convenient than Ethereum.

Do not confuse them: USDT on Solana is a dollar, while SOL is a separate coin with a floating price. At Ruber we exchange USDT on these networks, not SOL, TON and BNB themselves.

A USDT transfer fee on all three networks is usually small — under a dollar. Your wallet shows the exact fee before sending.

Solana

A fast network with the lowest fees of the three. A good fit if the recipient also uses Solana — for example, the Phantom wallet. To send USDT further, the wallet needs a little SOL.

TON

The network linked to Telegram. Convenient for those used to in-messenger wallets and Tonkeeper. One detail: when you send USDT to an exchange, it often asks for a comment (memo). Without it the deposit is delayed. A personal wallet needs no comment.

BNB Chain

A network with modest fees and the same address format as Ethereum. Hence the main mistake: sending BEP-20 USDT to an ERC-20 address or vice versa. Always choose the network explicitly.

Which network to choose

  • The recipient named a network — use it. Sender and recipient networks must match.
  • The network does not matter, you just need USDT — take the one where you have a wallet. The most common are TRC-20 and TON.
  • You are sending to an exchange — check which networks it accepts for USDT, and remember the comment for TON.

How to buy USDT on the network you need

In the Ruber calculator choose USDT and the network — TRC-20, ERC-20, BEP-20, Solana or TON — and paste your wallet address on that network. The rate for buying USDT is the Bank of Russia rate plus 3.5%; the network fee is shown on a separate line. Pay with a card in your name or via SBP.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy SOL, TON or BNB at Ruber?

No. We exchange rubles for USDT on these networks, as well as USDC, ETH and BTC.

What happens if I send USDT on the wrong network?

The transfer may be lost. Sometimes it can be recovered, but not always and not quickly. That is why the network is chosen before sending and checked against the recipient’s address.

Do I need SOL, TON or BNB to receive USDT?

Not to receive. You need them to send USDT further: the network fee is paid in its coin.
